About Kalanaur
Kalanaur is a City in Kalanaur Tehsil in Gurdaspur District of Punjab State, India. It is found 27 km towards west from District central station Gurdaspur. It is a Tehsil headquarter. The town has recorded essentialness as Mughal Emperor Akbar, was enthroned in a garden close to the Kalanaur by Bairam Khan. As per Imperial Gazetteer of India, Kalanaur was established by two Muslim siblings named Kala and Noor.
