About Junagarh Fort

The Junagarh Fort is a magnificent Fort built in 1478 and located in the glorious city of Bikaner. Earlier known by the name, Chintamani, the fort was renamed as the Junagarh Fort. It was built by Rao Bika. What existed as a stone fort then is now a grand structure and a feat of architecture.

One can explore the wondrous palaces inside the fort, the gardens, balconies, kiosks, etc. The Junagarh Fort has stood the test of time and still flaunts as an epitome of architectural brilliance. The architecture style is an influence of the cultural differences of foreign and different rulers. There are unique monuments on display in the fort, representing 16 generations of rulers starting from 16th century.
