About Jayakwadi Dam

Another not to miss Aurangabad spots to visit is the entrancing Jayakwadi Dam. Known to be one of the biggest water system dams in the whole of Maharashtra and one of the biggest earthen dams in Asia, it contributes basically to water system and other rural purposes in the Marathwada region which is primarily a dry season inclined territory.

Additionally contributing to a great extent to address the issue and necessity of savoring water zones like Aurangabad, Jalna and others, this dam on the Godai River is situated in a village called Jayakwadi in the Paithantaluka of Aurangabad. With the encompassing regions lodging a garden and a winged creature asylum, the establishment of this dam was laid in 1965 and was finished in 1976.
