Hemkund Sahib

Perched at a height of 4329 meters above the sea level is the Holy pilgrimage site of Sri Hemkund Sahib. It is tucked in the Himalayan ranges and projects a picturesque view with the backdrop of the snow clad mountains. The place is literally referred as the 'Lake of snow' and can be reached via trekking through a trail where you pass through the numerous waterfalls, thickets and spellbinding view of the Himalayas.

Also known as the Gurudwara Shri Hemkund Sahib, this revered shrine is open for only few months in summertime and closed during heavy winters. It is visited by a myriad of devotees from all over the world and is one of the most celebrated gurdwara of the Sikh community. The rough climate and terrain doesn't restrict pilgrims to visit the shrine in large numbers every year. The site is known for being the spot where Hemkund Sahib meditated in his previous birth.
