Haridev Mandir
About Haridev Mandir
The Haridev temple is a renowned sacred temple situated at the banks of the Manasi Ganga lake at Govardhana Hill, Vrindavan India. It is a special place as millions ofpilgrims come there each year to ask blessings on their spiritual trips. The temple changed into constructed by means of King Bhagandas of Jaipur, whose son, Rajaman Singh, built the Govindaji Temple inside the 16th century during the reign of Emperor Akbar.
The unique deity of Harideva was moved to the town of Rajdhani near Kanpur when Aurangzeb sent his soldiers to smash the Deities and temples of Vraja. But the Deity is no longer in Rajdhani, and nobody knows where it is. One day Srimati Radharani and the gopis have been anticipating Krisna to come back and meet them. As they were waiting, the gopis started out to experience excessive separation from Krisna and they started to chant Haridev, Haridev time and again once more and their feeling intensified to the point of just about giving up their lives.
Suddenly Krisna seemed in this lovely Deity shape of seven-year-antique boy conserving Govardhan Hill in his left hand and flute in the other. The ecstasy of Radharani and the gopis knew no bounds. Since than Radharani and gopis could come here each day and worshiped Govardhana-natha Haridev with many offerings.
