About Gurmatkal
Gurmatkal, or Gurumathakal, is a panchayat town in the northeast of Yadgir district in the Indian state of Karnataka. Officially, it is under Yadgir Taluka. Gurumatkal was built up as a Town Municipal Council TMC in the year 1957 and later was minimized to a town panchayat in the year 1984. Gurumatkal town is arranged forty-one kilometers from Yagir District Headquarters along the Bijapur-Hyderabad Highway.
Gurumatkal is at a separation of around 650 km from state capital city of Bangalore and 110 km from the town of Gulbarga. The closest airplane terminal is at Hyderabad which is 150 km from the town. The closest railroad station is Yadgir. The primary wellspring of transportation is by street. Gurumatkal is a visitor town, yet the tenants for the most part rely upon agribusiness. The water supply basically relies upon borewells.
