Gurdwara, Bhagat Namdev Ji

Gurdwara Sri Darbar Sahib Bhagat Namdev, which is also known as Gurdwara Sri Tapiana Sahib, is situated at Ghoman which is associated with Bhagat Namdev 1270-1350 the founder of the town. Bhagat Namdev Ji was born on 29th October 1270 in the village of Naras-Vamani in the Satara district of Maharashtra presently called Narsi Namdev.

Namdev was a holy-man who travelled from Maharashtra to Punjab and gave the natives of Punjab, a message of love. Bhagat Namdev prayed to God here for 10-20 years, doing many miraculous deeds. There is an old Thara Sahib and a statue of Bhagat Namdev. The Parkash of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji is carried out in the Gurdwara.
