About Gundlupet
Gundlupet or Gundlupete in Kannada is a town in the Chamarajanagar district of the Indian state of Karnataka. This residential community is around 56 km from the Mysore-Ooty/Mysore-Calicut NH 212 interstate and around 200 km from Bangalore, the state capital. Gundlupet is the last town in Karnataka in transit to Ooty, Wayanad, Kozhikode, arranged near Tamil Nadu and Kerala state outskirts. National Highway - 67 NH-67 begins from Gundlupete and closures in Nagapattinam in Tamil Nadu by means of Ooty and Coimbatore.
The Bandipur National Park Forest Office is 17 km from Gundlupet. Already this town was known as "Vijayapura" which got its name due nearness of recorded Vijayanarayana sanctuary. Primary products are jowar, ragi, sugar stick, turmeric, onion and banana. It is a genuinely dry area on the rain-shadow side of the Western Ghats with a normal yearly precipitation of around 600 mm every last bit of it falling amid the storm a very long time of July through October.
