About Gouripur House

Gouripur House is situated at a separation of around 2 kilometer from town while in transit to Durpin Dara. Despite the fact that Kalimpong was a little slope station, yet was most loved place of the considerable Indian writer, Rabindranath Tagore. On going by the goal, he remained at Gouripur House. On 25th April, 1940, it was from this house he discussed the lyric "Janamadin". It was done through a phone framework introduced in this house was connected with the All India Radio, situated in Kolkata. What's more, he composed a few sonnets while living in this house. His last visit to this house was on 28th September, 1954 after which he stayed away forever.
