Golu Devata Temple

Golu Devta or Lord Golu is the mythical God of the Kumaun and east Garhwal vicinity of Uttarakhand state of India and is their deity. In eastern Garhwal, he is worshipped as Goril Devta. The Chitai Golu Devta temple is the maximum celebrated temple dedicated to the deity and is ready 4 km from the principle gate of Binsar wildlife sanctuary & approximately 10 km from Almora.

The other well-known temple is located close to Bhowali, next to the Sainik School, Ghorakhal. Golu dev used to travel far distances on his horse and used to satisfy people of his nation, Golu Darbar used to take vicinity and Golu Dev used to listen the troubles of the human beings and help them in any manner feasible, he had a unique area for humans in his heart and he became always ready to help them, due to his entire determination to human beings, he led a totally simple lifestyles and lived his life at the standards of brahmacharya.
