Ghanchakkar

Maharashtra provides a lot of trekking opportunities to the adventure seekers. One such peak which is suitable for both exploring and trekking purposes is the Ghanchakkar. It is the 4th highest peak in Maharashtra. The Gavaldeo peak, its neighbour is the 3rd highest.

This peak in Sahayadri is caped in clouds and chills up during the summer months as well. An adventure trek to this place is one of the things to do when in Bhandardara. The trek is a moderately tough one. The Ghanchakkar mountain is barren, with little or no tree cover.
