Geology And Geophysics Museum

The Geology and Geophysics Museum is located within the city of Roorkee. It is a very interesting museum and a study center. The displays consist of various geographic models and studies of the earth’s interior.

The study of rocks has been traced, with various kinds of rocks and mineral samples as exhibits. One can see some of the rarest rock samples in the museum, including bending sandstone. The museum also displays fossilized bones of elephants and fossil trees. Specimens of rocks and minerals have been brought here from the Shivalik Mountains which surround the town of Roorkee. A visit to the museum is greatly recommended.
