About Ethipothala Falls
Ethipothala Falls are located at a distance of 7 miles from Nagarjuna Sagar Dam. Water falls from a height of 70 meters to form this striking waterfall. It is situated on the Chandravanka River which is a tributary of the Krishna River.
The Ethipothala falls derives its name from two words—"eththi" and "potha". In Telugu language, it means to "lift and pour". The waterfall is famous for a crocodile breeding center, at the pool formed by it. The temples of Ranganatha and Dattatrey are located nearby. The falls look magnificent during the monsoon season.
