Diskit Gompa

It is the most established and biggest Buddhist religious community gompa in the Nubra Valley of Ladakh, northern India. It has a place with the Gelugpa Yellow Hat organization of Tibetan Buddhism. It is a sub-gompa of the Thikse gompa. Lachung Temple and Hundur Monastery are additionally found close-by, the last is beneath the primary street almost an extension. The cloister has statue of Cho Rinpoche Crowned Buddha in the petition lobby, an immense drum and a few pictures of furious gatekeeper gods. A lifted dome of the moanstery portrays a fresco of the Tashilhunpo Monastery of Tibet. The Monastery organization runs a school, with help from a Non-Government Organization NGO known as the "Tibet Support Group", which has PC offices and shows science subjects, in English, to Tibetan offspring of the area.
