About Chamera Lake

The Chamera Dam impounds the River Ravi and supports the hydroelectricity venture within the region. It is placed near the city of Dalhousie, inside the Chamba district within the nation of Himachal Pradesh in India the reservoir of the dam is the Chamera Lake. Large a part of its reservoir lies in Salooni sub-division of Chamba.

After crowning glory of the first phase, the Chamera-I generates 540 MW of electricity. The 2d level i.E. Chamera-II Dam generates three hundred MW of strength. From year 2012, the third degree i.E. Chamera III generates 231 MW of energy. The precise feature of the location is the fluctuating day and night time temperature. The temperature during the day close to the dam rises up to 35 stages Celsius and drops to at least 18 to 20 °C at night time.
