Chakkulathukavu Temple

It is one of the well known and wealthiest temple is this area. Chakkulathukavu Temple is at a separation of 38 Kms from Pathanamthitta and is situated in Neerettupuram town, on SH12. This Temple is devoted to Goddess Durga an incarnation of Goddess Parvati. Waterways Pampa and Manimala stream on either side of the temple.

Ruler Vishnu, Shiva, Vinayaka and Navagrahas are likewise venerated at this temple. All Fridays are critical days to love the goddess here. The temple has over 3000 years of history. However, current structure was revamped in 1981.

On Fridays, the female aficionados carry their relatives dependent with liquor, medication or betting. When they swear by touching Devi's sword to disavow the propensity, it's said that they totally make tracks in an opposite direction from those negative behavior patterns for ever. The primary celebration is 'Thirkkarthika' celebrated in the Malayalam month of Vrischikam November/December.
