Cactus Garden

Officially known as National Cactus and Succulent Botanical Garden and Research Centre, the garden is Asia’s biggest garden devoted to cactus plants. A trip to the cactus garden of Panchkula is known to be a fascinating experience. This is one of the most exciting and offbeat tourist attractions ever.

It was established in the year 1987, by Dr. J.S. Sarkaria. Covering an area of 7 acres, this garden is almost 22 kms away from Parwanoo. The garden includes green houses that are equipped with climate control facilities. This place houses over 3500 rare species of cacti and succulents. Different styles of bonsai are also displayed. Also for the nature buffs, there is a Cactus show that is organized every year in the month of March. Plants are also available for sale. Do not forget to pay a visit if you’re in town.
