Botanical Garden,Kokernag

A very beautiful and incredible garden, Botanical Garden is a must visit attraction of the place. It is blessed with rich flora and fauna and is full of a lot of varieties of beautiful Alpine, Rose, Tropical plants and around one thousand enchanting and charming plants and trees. The pleasure garden of serene beauty lies against the backdrop of high and thick pine forests. This garden is very well-known not only in Kokernag but in entire Jammu Kashmir state as well.

A separate section comprising of wild flora of the valley is maintained in this garden. Modern effects like rosary, Japanese bridges over the gushing water stream, water ponds, live garden seats, topiary work etc. are points of attraction in the garden. The garden is located in Anantnag district in Jammu and Kashmir at an altitude of two thousand and twenty meters’ height. The place time to visit this place is in the period of summer, march to October where the garden is bloomed with profusion
