About Bhaskaresvara Temple

Bhaskaresvara Temple in Bhubaneswar is located simply 1 km faraway from every other famous temple Rajarani Temple. It becomes constructed within the 12th century in the course of reign of Ganga Dynasty rulers. This temple turned into constructed using sandstone. The temple is facing closer to west and Lord Shiva is the deity here.

The temple is square in plan and is built on a raised platform. The temple structure follows Kalinga Style construction and is embellished with lovely architectural motifs. The roof of the temple is in the shape multi layered pyramid. In all of the three directions apart from the front on the outside wall of the temple there are stunning sculptures in a window like niche.
