About Bellary Fort
Bellary Fort is a historical place in Ballari. This Fort was later caught by Hyder Ali in 1769 who remodeled it and re-composed it with the guide of a French architect. Near the eastern portion of the mount, Hyder Ali included the lower fortress.
Hyder Ali is said to have hanged the French architect, by virtue of his carelessness to the way that the neighboring Kumbara Gudda is taller than Bellary Gudda, subsequently giving without end the summon and mystery of the fortress.
Logical inconsistencies are there about this French man's grave, as it should be situated at the stronghold's eastern door, yet the locals view it as the grave of a virtuous Muslim man. At the point when the British came, they made this fortress their cantonment. There are two divisions of this fortress, Upper and lower Fort.
