About Bamboo Rafting

Periyar tiger reserve does not only have tigers in them! They even have fun recreational activities like the Bamboo Rafting. This eco-friendly, entertaining program is quite exciting. This program is quite a long one and takes around a day’s time.

The program starts at sharp 8 am and lasts until 5 pm of the day. The people will be divided into teams of an equal group. Generally n=in each group 10 are allotted. The guides hail from the tribal communities. They know every nook and corner of the place so you can rest assure and leave everything o them.

The people will be taken through the thick forests which will be rich in biodiversity. One can even find out animals like elephant and gaur with ease. Breakfast, lunch and other snacks will be provided to you if you enroll for the bamboo rafting program.
