Aranmula is an Aranmula Snake Boat Race, otherwise called Aranmula Vallamkali is a well known vessel race held in the ceaseless Kerala Backwaters. This is a yearly vessel race held in Aranmula locale of Kerala amid the Onam celebration in the long stretch of August-September. It is otherwise called Uthrittathi Boat Race. This yearly pontoon race amid Onam draws in voyagers from all finished India and the world. The snake vessels are called 'Palliyodams' and their structures look like snakes.
These water crafts are around 100 feet long, have limit fronts with raised hoods and back segments transcending at a stature of around 20 ft.
