Amruteshwar temple is a 1000 years old temple built in Hemadpanthi style of architecture with black stones. The temple is a beautiful getaway for pilgrims and historians who can explore the inside of the temple, which has intricate details to satisfy the history bugs in them.
The sanctum in the temple is a labyrinthine structure with sculptures of Gods and Goddesses carved out of stone. There is a pond in the complex which adds to its overall beauty.
It is one of the 12 temples built in 900 AD by King Jhang. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, the temple has a lingam. The exquisite features of the temple, the hot spring that fills the sanctum with water during monsoons and the sculptures made of black stone makes the temple a must visit. One can also indulge in batting on the Arthur Lake on a visit to the temple.
