Torokbalint

Torokbalint is a town in Pest county, Hungary. Torokbalint acquired town fame on 1 July 2007. The town additionally has a German call, Grobturwall, which originates from the times of the Swabian immigration after the Ottoman instances of Hungary. Torokbalint is c. 15 kilometres westwards from Budapest, among Diosd and Budakeszi, which have been also Swabian settlements. Torokbalint can be at once approached from the motorways M0, M1 and M7. Until the first century, the Avaric peoples were the population of Hungary, which the Romans chased away.

Both countries left their footprint over everything of Hungary, and in Torokbalint as well, though the place was uninhabited till the sixth century, properly after the Roman invasion. Germanic tribes arrived around this time. After the Magyar settlement within the 9th century, the main leader of the Hungarians, Arpad, gave the lands round the existing Torokbalint to prince Kond, whose son, Csorsz constructed the primary fortress inside the area. Its name became Torbagy , which might be the historical shape of the existing German name of the agreement.
