Tompa

Tompa is a metropolis in Bacs-Kiskun county, Hungary. The Tompa Block is composed of recomplete Miocene shale and has been an area of hydrocarbon exploration. As of April 2009 a nicely drilled by means of Toreador has produced herbal gas. Design of a Hydraulic fracturing application to stimulate the well was finalized and operations to perform the treatment, were to begin in May 2009. Also, Cuadrilla Resources lists Tompa in their prospectus.

In Tompa 38,796 acres composed of recomplete Miocene had been described to include multi TCF Basin Centred TGS. The Miocene is the first geological epoch of the Neogene Period and extends from approximately 23.03 to 5.333 million years in the past. The Miocene was named via Charles Lyell; its name comes from the Greek words and and method "much less latest" as it has 18% fewer current sea invertebrates than the Pliocene. The Miocene is preceded via the Oligocene and is observed via the Pliocene.
