About Orbottyan
Orbottyan is a city in Pest County, Hungary. Bottyan is an old Hungarian given call for boys, which means mace. Prefix Orliterally approach shield in Hungarian and refers back to the close by hill Orhegy, which was a fort within the center a long time. Orbottyan changed into created in 1970 with the unification of small villages, named Orszentmiklos and Vacbottyan. Orszentmiklos first noted in 1344 as villa Sancti Nicolai and in 1390 as Zenth Myklos. Vacbottyan first cited in 1332 as Botuna and in 1376 as Bathyan.
