Nyiradony

Nyiradony metropolis in Hajdu-Bihar county, the center of Nyiradony district. The earliest owner of the agreement was the Gutkeled genus. Adony and the neighboring agreement named Guth, in keeping with written sources, were already inhabited inside the eleventh century. The first settlement in Szabolcs County of the Gutkeled own family of the Arpad technology became the two settlements.

Guth additionally had a castle at this time, and the settled population constructed a monastery close to this fortress in Adony. This monastery, wherein the clergymen of the first Hungarian premontre priesthood served, was destroyed in the course of the Tatar invasion. Nyiradony once belonged to Bihar County.
