Kormend

Kormend is a city in Vas county, Western Hungary. The town is mainly widely known for its fortress which used to belong to the Batthyany circle of relatives, one of the most vital aristocrat households of Hungary. Blessed Ladislaus Batthyány-Strattmann, a well-known ophthalmologist who become beatified by the Catholic Church, lived inside the castle along with his own family for almost 10 years.
