About Heves
Heves is a small metropolis in eastern Hungary. About 100 km east of Budapest, Heves lies on the northern extreme of the Great Hungarian Plain Nagyalfold, just south of the Matra and Bukk hills and west of the Tisza River. Heves stocks its call with a Hungarian county the metropolis is the fourth largest metropolis in Heves County. The closest predominant city is Eger, which lies 40 km to the north. Heves is a vast transportation hub for the cities and agricultural areas of southern Heves County. Heves is domestic to approximately 11,000 residents. In addition to the ethnic Hungarian majority, there's a vast Roma populace. The city welcomes an outdoor market each Wednesday and Saturday morning. Heves is well known for watermelons and hosts a watermelon competition every August. The middle of the city is a scenic park with a chestnut-coated prom, a gazebo, a fountain and numerous statues.
A metropolis museum and a 19th-century Catholic church stand at opposite ends of the park. A 2d museum sakkmuzeum, one of the few chess museums in the world, is placed now not some distance from the park. Other recreational possibilities in Heves consist of a thermal bath, a network middle that doubles as a theatre and the Aranykehely restaurant. The small town is likewise domestic to a number of small bars and nightclubs, such as Unikum and Panziodisco.
