About Fegyvernek
City of Fegyvernek in Torokszentmiklos District of Jasz-Nagykun-Szolnok County. The name of Fegyvern was given after the name of the occupation of the weapon carriers who once lived here. In the area of the settlement people lived in the Bronze Age, and from the later ages Iron Age and Sarmatian artefacts appeared. In 1212 we first meet the name of the village, and then in 1219 we mention it in the Regestrum of Varadi . From 1300 the area was owned by the Domoszlai, Kompolti and Guthi-Orszagh families. The 15th century has been Fegyvernek market town to hold fairs and privileges, but 1686 - 87
inGirai Tatar khan destroyed the countryside with the Welsh. Between 1845 and 46 , housekeepers, shepherds and smokers lived in the village, but at that time count Jozsef Szapary, the landowner, settled Germans in the settlement, who at the end of the 19th century became almost completely Hungarian. The weapons were not armed at all in the 1848-49 Revolution and War of Independence. In Fegyvern, the Tisza was regulated in 1856 with 74 cuts, and then the village defenses were built.
