About Tai Po Kau Nature Reserve
The Tai Po Kau Nature Reserve, additionally called Tai Po Kau Special Area, is a nature reserve in the Tai Po region of the New Territories in northern Hong Kong. The region contains a thick, bumpy forest with innumerable types of trees and ious streams and waterways. It is noted by the Hong Kong Bird Watching Society and others as extraordinary compared to other areas for seeing timberland feathered creatures in Hong Kong.
The thickly forested 460-hectare Tai Po Kau Nature Reserve is Hong Kong's most broad forests. It is home to numerous types of butterflies, creatures of land and water, winged animals, dragonflies and trees, and is a wonderful place in which to appreciate a peaceful walk. The hold is confused with four primary tracks extending long from 3km to 10km, in addition to a short nature trail of under 1km. One should avoid visiting the resrve on Sundays and public holidays.
