Ma On Shan Country Park

Ma On Shan Country Park occupies an area of 2,880 hectares in the Eastern New Territories. Named after Ma On Shan, the mountain range that sits to a great extent inside the park, it frames a wide green belt for relaxation and diversion exercises in the Ma On Shan district with the neighboring Sai Kung West Country Park and Lion Rock Country Park.

Assigned in 1979, Ma On Shan Country Park covers inland uplands and additionally Hebe Haven that lies between Pak Sha Wan and Port Shelter. More conspicuous points of interest of the locale are Ma On Shan, the Hunch Backs, Pyramid Hill, Tate's Cairn and Kowloon Peak. The recreation center has many well known sights : Kowloon Peak with its all encompassing cityscape, Grave of Dr. Sun's Mother in Pak Fa Lam, and the ever famous Gilwell Campsite.

Ma On Shan is a famously tricky landscape, with tough slope trails conquerable just by the fit and experienced. More beaten tracks incorporate the Ma On Shan Country Trail, Kei Ling Ha Tree Walk, Section 4 of the MacLehose Trail and Section 4 of the Wilson Trail. Area 4 of the MacLehose Trail and Ma On Shan Country Trail go through the beautiful Ngong Ping Plateau where wide vistas stretch out to the far separation.

Ma On Shan Country Park has a few grill territories : Shui Long Wo, Kei Ling Ha, Nai Chung and Ma On Shan Village etc. The ones at Ma On Shan Village and Nai Chung are all around adored by travellers. For campers, there are campgrounds in Ngong Ping and Shui Long Wo.
