About Hong Kong Railway Museum
It is presently under the administration of the Leisure and Cultural Service Department. Opened on 20 December 1986, it is situated at the site where the Old Tai Po Market Railway Station was worked in 1913. Admission to the historical center is free. The station building was raised in 1913. From that point forward, it went about as a focal point of organization and exchange which in a roundabout way supported Tai Po Market's economy by bringing merchants there.
After one year, the Old Tai Po Market Railway Station was announced a landmark. The site, together with the structures and important displays, were then given to the administration by the KCRC for the development of the Museum.
