About High Island Reservoir
The High Island Reservoir, arranged in the far south eastern bit of the Sai Kung Peninsula, was opened in 1978 relieving water inadequacy issues in Hong Kong. Its water restrain is around 273 million cubic meters. The zone it includes was at first the Kwun Mun Channel, which separated High Island from the Sai Kung Peninsula.
The store was made by creating two rule dams. One was worked at the west of High Island partner it with the Sai Kung Peninsula at Yuen Ng Fan. The other was worked in the southeast of High Island, interfacing it with the Sai Kung Peninsula close Po Pin Chau, a stack island.
