About Castle Peak
It is a 583 m high crest in the western New Territories of Hong Kong.
Rather than its Chinese name, which implies green slope, Castle Peak is famous for its extreme loss of vegetation and weathering of its stone surface.
The zone toward the west of the slope was likewise named Castle Peak. It is likewise the old name of Tuen Mun amid early British run before beginning improvement of Tuen Mun New Town. In early proposition of the improvement, the new town was named Castle Peak New Town.
