About Vyronas
Vyronas is a suburban city and a municipality inside the southeastern a part of the Athens agglomeration, Greece. The town is called after George Gordon Byron, sixth Baron Byron, the well-known English poet and author, who's a country wide hero of Greece. Formerly a part of the town of Athens, Vyronas became created as a network in 1933, and became a municipality in 1934. The municipality has an area of 9.204 km2. Vyronas is an internal suburb of Athens, placed about three km southeast of Athens metropolis centre. Towards the southeast the municipality extends to the forested Hymettus mountain.
The constructed-up region of Vyronas is non-stop with that of Athens and the neighbouring suburbs Kaisariani, Ymittos and Ilioupoli. Motorway sixty four runs thru the southeastern a part of the municipality. Sport facilities in Vyronas are the Vyronas National Stadium soccer stadium and the Ergani Indoor Hall gymnasium.
