About Museum of Contemporary Art of Crete
The Museum of Contemporary Art of Crete in Rethymno prefecture is situated in the focal point of the Old Town, close to the Venetian divider and the Archeological Museum of Rethymno. The Museum of Contemporary Art of Crete, starting at 2009, is a mix of the old Municipal Gallery "L. Kanakakis "established in 1992 and the Center for Contemporary Art established in 1995 and has a lasting accumulation of around 500 works by contemporary Greek craftsmen, covering an extensive iety of Modern Greek workmanship from 1950 to date.
Visitors will enjoy samples of art, from a deliberation and geometry to neo-expressionism, new portrayal expressions, moderation, question in space, design and consolidated figure and painting, establishments in space and settings, reasonable workmanship, photography, PC prepared gems. All through the span of presentations guided visits for kids, adolescents and grown-ups are directed each day.
The Museum of Contemporary Art of Crete has drawn the consideration of the national and the worldwide network of craftsmanship. Universal displays and projects have been held and associations with establishments in Greece and abroad have been accomplished.
