About Monte Smith Hill
Monte Smith Hill, additionally referred to as Agios Stefanos Hill, stands above Rhodes and is 3 Km from the town. The ruins of the ancient Acropolis of Rhodes are located on Monte Smith Hill.
The Diagora Stadium 500 meters long and 35 meters huge, dating back to the 3rd or 2nd century BC, has survived on the archaeological. The Alion athletic games passed off here and the Theater, which throughout antiquity as these days hosted musical and theatrical performances, is also positioned right here. The ruins of the church of the Temple of Apollo and the Temples of Poliades Athena and Dias are at the highest point on the hill.
