About Knossos

It is more fabulous, more perplexing, and showier than any of alternate castles known to us, and it is situated around twenty minutes south of the advanced port town of Iraklio. It was occupied for a few thousand years, starting with a Neolithic settlement at some point in the seventh thousand years BC, and was surrendered after its annihilation in 1375 BC which denoted the finish of Minoan development. Knossos was verifiably the capital of Minoan Crete.

The main royal residence on the low slope next to the Kratos stream was worked around 1900 BC on the vestiges of past settlements. It was wrecked out of the blue alongside the other Protopalatial castles around Crete at 1700 BC, presumably by a huge seismic tremor or outside trespassers.

In 1450 BC by the enormous volcanic emission of Thera, and the intrusion of Mycenaeans who utilized it as their capital as they managed the island of Crete until 1375 BC.It was instantly revamped to a significantly more detailed complex and until the point that its relinquishment was harmed a few times amid quakes, attacks.
