About Evia
Evia is the second biggest island of Greece and the third in the eastern Mediterranean, is found near the Prefecture of Attica. In any case, it has a to some degree terrain character, since two scaffolds - the advanced, suspended one and the more seasoned, sliding one - connect it to territory Greece, called "Sterea Ellada". The island stretches out over a surface of 3,580 km2, its coastline is 48 km long and it has 220,000 occupants. Different discoveries in a few pieces of the region proof that Evia was occupied from the Paleolithic Era. Imperative archeological finding have been uncovered fro the time of copper. Vestiges going back to the Early Helladic period have been found in Lefkanti, Vasiliko and in Manika, Chalkida, while in Oreoi and Aliveri remains of the Middle Helladic period have been found.
