About Montrose Museum
Montrose Museum opened in 1842 in Montrose, Angus, Scotland. The historical center appeared when in 1841 the Montrose Natural History and Antiquarian Society began a store to extend its space; with the end goal to house its interests and ponders running from geographical and ethnographical ancient rarities to a gathering of normal history questions and artistic work. It was certify by the Museums, Libraries and Archives Council in June 2009.
From 1837 the accumulation was housed at a neighborhood school yet in 1842 was moved into a reason constructed historical center, one of the first of its kind in Scotland. The gallery is worked of pink sandstone in the neo-established style, fronted by Ionic sections. Inside the gathering is displayed in an open chamber. From October 2009 it will experience repair and openness enhancements and will revive in 2010.
