About Llyn Padarn
Llyn Padarn is an icily framed lake in Snowdonia, Gwynedd, north Wales, and is a case of a moraine dammed lake. The lake is around 2 miles 3.2 km long around 240 sections of land and at its most profound point is 94 feet 29 m profound, and is one of the biggest characteristic lakes in Wales. At its south-eastern end it is connected to the neighboring Llyn Peris which frames the lower supply of the Dinorwig control station. The bustling town of Llanberis lies on the southern banks of the lake. The larger part of Llyn Padarn is claimed by Gwynedd Council and is a piece of Padarn Country Park.
While kayaking, paddling and cruising are allowed on the lake, controlled art expect consent to utilize it. Bangor University Rowing Club push at Llyn Padarn. In April 2014 Llyn Padarn was assigned as Bathing Water under the Bathing Water Directive. The surge of Llyn Padarn is on the northern shore and is called Afon Rhythallt, which goes by the town of Brynrefail, Gwynedd and progresses toward becoming Afon Seiont beneath Pont Rhythallt, close Llanrug. It achieves the ocean at Caernarfon. Padarn Country Park is situated on the northern flank of the lake, including Coed Allt Wen, an uncommon and old sessile oak forest. Both the forest and Llyn Padarn are assigned as Sites of Special Scientific Interest.
