About Dechmont Law
Dechmont Law is a hill in Livingston, West Lothian, Scotland. It lies around 700 yards southwest of the town of Dechmont, which gives its name. It is referred to locally as "Decky Hill" or as "Dechmont Hill". "Deer Hill" is another pinnacle of a similar slope, toward the upper east of the primary pinnacle. It is the most noteworthy slope in the Livingston territory, and Arthur's Seat and the Pentland Hills can be seen from here, and in addition a view down the Almond valley. The slants hint at farming terracing, from the Bronze and Iron Age, yet it is vague whether it was ever a hillfort.
Its vital position makes this possible, yet there is lacking archeological proof. In 2005, the collection of killed eleven years of age student Rory Blackhall was found under an old, topsy turvy, two-man tent in forest west of Dechmont Law. Rory's body was found following a deliberate two-hour look by a Countryside Ranger who knew the region well. Two mountain protect individuals and a safeguard canine, seeking freely, were at a similar recognize a couple of minutes after the fact. The Ranger helped the police to anchor the territory. The case has since shut, the homicide speculate having submitted suicide.
