Gibraltar Cable Car

It is an aeronautical tramway in Gibraltar. The base station of the link auto is situated close to the southern end of Main Street, alongside Alameda Gardens. The Gibraltar Cable Car was worked in 1966 by Swiss link auto specialists Von Roll Holding, with the base and summit stations planned by Public Works Department draftsman Brian Helliwell and on Signal Hill Battery.

The battery was situated nearby a Signal Station and was furnished with two 3-inch 30-cwt against flying machine weapons and a 40-mm Bofors firearm amid World War II.
