About Tamale
Tamale officially called Tamale Metropolitan Area, is the capital town of the Northern Region of Ghana. Tamale is Ghana's 0.33-largest metropolis. It has a 2013 projected population of 950,124 in line with the 2010 census and is the fastest-developing metropolis in West Africa. The city is positioned 600 km north of Accra.
Most citizens of Tamale are Muslims, as pondered through the multitude of mosques in Tamale, most extensively the Central Mosque. Tamale is placed on the crossing of 3 historical exchange routes; it started out to develop as a industrial centre for the Northern vicinity centuries ago. The north-South Street from Paga and Bolgatanga to Salaga had raiders passing, whilst other traders introduced their items into Tamale. Salt got here from Daboya, to the north-west of Tamale, and accompanied a road that persisted to Yendi. A 0.33 street related Gushegu to the capital of the Gonja nation, Damongo. The present places of the valuable market and the palace of the Gulkpe naa, opposite Barclays Bank and near the library, mark the junctions of the historical roads.
