It is located in the Ahanta West District of the Western Region in Ghana and around 30 kilometers west of the local capital, Sekondi-Takoradi in the Gulf of Guinea. It is grouped in the class of towns with in excess of 5,000 occupants, with a cleared street from Sekondi to achieve the town.
