About Zeitz
Zeitz is a town in the Burgenlandkreis district, in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. It is arranged on the stream White Elster, in the triangle of the government states Saxony-Anhalt, Thuringia and Saxony. Zeitz was first recorded under the name Cici in the synode of Ravenna in 967. Somewhere in the range of 965 and 982, it was the main post of the March of Zeitz. Zeitz was a cleric's living arrangement somewhere in the range of 968 and 1028, when it was moved to Naumburg.
Starting toward the finish of the 13th century, the religious administrators again dwelled in their mansion at Zeitz. The Herrmannsschacht worked in 1889 is one of the most established block production lines on the planet. It was caught by Swedish troops amid the Thirty Years' War and was given to Electorate of Saxony in 1644. It was focal point of Saxe-Zeitz somewhere in the range of 1657 and 1718 preceding coming back to Electorate. On 18 August 1976, the Protestant pastor Oskar Brusewitz from Rippicha consumed himself to death before the Michaeliskirche. This was a challenge against the DDR framework. The town was a modern focus until German Reunification made numerous organizations in eastern Germany uncompetitive. The town still has a huge sugar plant.
