Worms Synagogue
About Worms Synagogue
Worked precisely when late Romanesque style was obscuring and Gothic rising, the rectangular supplication campaign incorporates two or three Romanesque sections supporting groin vaults. The windows in the thick stone dividers are fundamental gothic bends. The women's region of the supplication campaign has Romanesque windows in the eastern divider and gothic windows in the western divider.
The important synagogue at the site was worked in 1034 and is in this way saw as the most prepared existing synagogue in Germany. The building was first crushed in the midst of the First Crusade in 1096 and hence changed in 1175 in the Romanesque style. In 1186 southwest of the synagogue an underground mikveh was manufactured.
