About Wilhelmshaven
Wilhelmshaven is a coastal town in Lower Saxony, Germany. It is arranged on the western side of the Jade Bight, an inlet of the North Sea. Wilhelmshaven is the centre point of the "JadeBay" business area. The nearby Lower Saxony Wadden Sea National Park gives the premise to the real the travel industry in the district. The Siebethsburg palace, worked before 1383, worked as a privateer fortress; the Hanseatic League wrecked it in 1433. After 4 centuries, the Kingdom of Prussia arranged an armada and a harbor on the North Sea.
In 1853, Prince Adalbert of Prussia, a cousin of the Prussian King Frederick William IV, organized the Jade Treaty Jade-Vertrag with the Grand Duchy of Oldenburg, wherein Prussia and the Grand Duchy went into an agreement whereby Oldenburg surrendered 3.13 square kilometers of its region at the Jade Bight to Prussia. In 1869 King William I of Prussia later additionally German Emperor established the town as an exclave of the Province of Hanover and a maritime base for Prussia's creating armada. All the hinterland of the city stayed as a feature of the Duchy of Oldenburg. In 1937 Wilhelmshaven and Rustringen consolidated and the assembled city, named Wilhelmshaven, turned into a piece of the Free State of Oldenburg.
