Wernigerode is a town in the locale of Harz, Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. Until 2007, it was the capital of the locale of Wernigerode. Its populace was 35,041 out of 2012. Wernigerode is discovered southwest of Halberstadt, and is flawlessly masterminded on the Holtemme stream, on the north slopes of the Harz Mountains.
